J. Robert Oppenheimer- A man who changed the world!  |
Author: Salma Emad El Azhary Oppenheimer If oppenheimer was not born a lot of things would have changed . Oppenheimer created the atomic weapons to help his country or countries in war. He did not know how big the explosion would be. The atomiuc bomb was tested two times only and killed more than 225,000 people not including the people that were poisened and later on caused their death. Everyone was surprised especially oppenheimer when they saw the massive explosion and how much damage the atomic bomb caused. The Atomic bomb was like a 2 sided edged sword it had the ability to both power mankind and destroy it. Oppenhiemer was unable to unchange the change he made. Oppenheimer regretted his invention because it caused many problems. Oppenheimer's life was filled with guilt after he realized that he's created this terrabul weapon that killed innumerable japenese. Nuclear weapons were used only twice in a war which fired offencivley, but other wise they were only just tested but not actualy used. Before oppenheimer's invention all counties were equal, but now the atomic bombs gave countries power and the countries that had access to the atomic bombs were respected and powerfull unlike the countries who dont have nuclear power. Who are not respected, scared and powerless. Oppenhiemer did not have to fight for establishing or creating his invention, he was actually supported by partners including, Albert Einstein and Hans Bethe. Oppenheimer didnt only effect the preasent but he also changed the future. In the future their will probably be lots of battles and wars and maybe even world war lll. The future has already changed withought it even coming yet. Oppenheimer changed the world through his development in creating the invention of nuclear power. Developing the nuclear power was having the potential to destroy the world. As you can see the world changed just by one creation, and 1 creator. Oppenheimer changed the world but not necessarily for a good reason. His plan was to help the world but he ended up destroying it. There were some positive and negative affect for his creation. Some people saw oppenheimer as a hero that was a cause for the ending of the war but others saw him as the man who was the cause of the death and destruction of Japan. What people didnt realize, was the triumph within the tragedy.
